Courtney Shaw is a professional actress, singer, and voiceover artist and a proud member of Animus Theatre Company. She was last seen in the New York Premiere of the Leslye Headland one-woman show Surfer Girl at the Foley Gallery. Off-Broadway Credits include: Deliver Me directed by Pamela Adlon (Cherry Lane Theatre); The Tennessee Williams Collected Shorts directed by Matthew Lillard (Theatre Row); the World Premiere of Devil and the Deep (The Mint Theatre); The Butterfly (The Mint); Drive (Jerry Orbach Theatre); and Little Sally in Urinetown (Westside Theatre). With Animus Theatre Company she was in The Accidental Blonde opposite Alexis Bledel, directed by Leslye Headland as part of her Sin Cycle Play reading festival at Circle in the Square Theatre; and she played Denise Savage in Savage in Limbo and Mary in The Red Coat opposite Jared Gilman in the John Patrick Shanley reading festival (Circle in the Square). Courtney completed the two-year conservatory program at Circle in the Square Theatre School.
As a voice actor Courtney plays leading and guest-starring roles on numerous cartoons for networks such as Disney Jr., Nickelodeon, Sprout and Hasbro. She is represented by Abrams Artists and is hired consistently for audiobooks and ESL projects by John Marshall Media and she has done commercials for tv and web. She specializes in authentic-sounding children's voices from infants and toddlers to teens. She can do spot-on impressions of Butters from South Park and Pikachu from Pokemon. Courtney is a big animal lover and is proud of her numerous realistic animal sounds, including elephant, small dog, cat, kitten, crow, monkey, and seagull. Yes, seagull. She hopes to someday be cast in her favorite play of the same name and put this skill to good use at last.
